Surface Friction Tester
BHM01
The BHM01 Surface Friction Tester is used for the accurate measurement of runway surface friction coefficient. It is a specialized instrument designed to ensure the safety of aircraft during landing and takeoff. The vehicle is equipped with a water tank and a watering system, providing broad applicability for both concrete and asphalt surfaces. The measurement length is up to 7,000 meters, and the vehicle can operate normally even in rainy or snowy conditions
Main Features
Safety Design Concepts
The previously designed components of the vehicle, such as car frame, suspension system, fuel system, and ABS Braking system of the vehicle chassis, have not been modified. It is critically important to maitain the safety, quality, and performance of the entire vehicle. What we have done is reinforce and install the entire testing system within the concave area of the interior trunk, which enhances the vehicle without compromising its structure. Our goal is not only to purchase a good vehicle but also to use it effectively. Diversifying the potential applications of the special vehicle ensures a dual guarantee of both safety and benefit.
Water Sprinkling System
The system includes a water tank, water pump, water pressure sensor, valves, pipes, and a regulating system. The water tank is made of engineering polypropylene material, with capacities of 580L and 620L, meeting the requirement for continuous water sprinkling tests over a distance of no less than 7000 meters.
Acceleration Performance
The Ford Taurus 2.7T, Honda Acura, and BYD Tang have powerful engines and faster acceleration, capable of reaching a testing speed of 96 km/h within 200 meters.
Electronic Calibration Device
It is the special demarcatated device with precision of 5/1000. It is far more better than the abroad current use of demarcatated device by adopting spring balance when its precision and convenience of operation are all considered.
Computer Control
A touchscreen industrial computer with a visual menu is used, adopting a tone-mocked operating technique to optimize the operating procedure. Pre-programming allows for continuous detection of friction coefficient values in the 0-1 range.
Test Tires
Specialized treaded tires for friction coefficient testers that comply with CAAC, ICAO, and FAA regulations are used. The tire material is the same as that of aircraft tires, and the working pressure of the test tires is 0.7MPa.

We have accumulated years of deisgn experience related to friction coefficient testing vehicles, as well as extensive data on airdrome applications and practical proposals for relevant departments. The system can adapt to more challenging work conditions, utilizing controlled elements in industrial-grade computers that are superior to similar products. All selected components and materials are of the highest quality and precision among comparable products. After rigorous examination and testing, this product has been widely used in airports, ensuring its reliability and accuracy.
Application Achievements
There are currently over 200 application achievements, including 4 units at Daxing Airport, 3 units at Capital Airport, 3 units at Wuhan Airport, 2 units at Chongqing Airport, 2 units at Zhengzhou Airport, and units at Xi'an Airport, Urumqi Airport, Sanya Airport, Kangding Airport, and Manzhouli Airport. Among these, there are 9 high-altitude airports and 17 plateau airports.
