On the afternoon ofAugust 23, the Belt and Road-themed series of international investment and technology exchange activities, organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO ITPO) in Beijing, and co-organized by the Commerce Bureau of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, with support from the Fujian Provincial Center for Foreign Economic Cooperation, was held at the Fourth Industrial Revolution Accelerator of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Hangzhou.
This event, whichcoincided with the Youth Entrepreneur Training Program from Belt and Road countries, aimed to deepen and expand practical cooperation, precisely meet business needs, facilitate investment and technology project matchmaking, and promote the connection between high-quality Chinese technology projects and Belt and Road partner countries.

The exchange focused onemerging industries such as AI technology applications, digital payments, smart equipment, robotics, and prefabricated buildings. Thirty-seven outstanding young entrepreneurs from countries including Mongolia, Kenya, Gambia, Laos, Rwanda, Solomon Islands, Portugal, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania participated, discussing the latest trends in industrial investment in Belt and Road countries and exploring opportunities and strategies for trade and economic cooperation.
ShenYubin, Executive Director of GSR Ventures, shared insights on "The Globalization and Technological Inclusivity of Chinese Intelligent Technology," analyzing major achievements in China's "hard technology" sector in recent years, and exploring how the Belt and Road Initiative can allow the world to share in China's technological advancements, enabling more developing countries to benefit from China's rapid technological progress.
WanJunfei, Co-Founder of PingPong Payments, examined the transformation of payment methods in overseas markets, highlighting how Chinese companies are driving the global expansion of digital payments, allowing more users worldwide to experience more convenient and secure payment solutions through global financial services and fintech.
PanJianyi, Vice President of Intellifusion, demonstrated the application of AI data processing technologies in the industrial sector and introduced the company's AI trainer projects in Africa, which aim to cultivate AI talent in developing countries and help them enter the AI era.
JiangMinhua, General Manager of Palmary, discussed the development trends of high-end equipment in China, emphasizing how the application of various digital and AI technologies has upgraded China's equipment sector, leading to the emergence of various construction robots that reduce project costs, lower worker safety risks, and improve construction quality.
Wang Yu, Marketing Manager of Haisen Technology,pointed out that with the rapid advancement of China's aviation infrastructure, the application market for various equipment is expanding. China's airport ground services and air traffic equipment are gradually being adopted overseas, with more airports around the world favoring "Made in China.”
Xie Tiancheng, Global Business Manager of HangxiaoSteel Structure, shared case studies from projects in Angola and Iceland, illustrating the high praise and recognition Chinese steel structure engineering has received in overseas regions in recent years, and expressing hope that Chinese construction companies can play a larger role in the global market.
YouthEntrepreneurs from Belt and Road Countries:
Representatives from Belt and Road countries also shared their development needs. Saine Wally, Vice Chairman of the Industrial Division of the Gambia Chamber of Commerce, said, "During this visit to China, I hope to collaborate with agricultural equipment companies to improve agricultural production efficiency in Gambia and promote employment for Gambian farmers."
Kowith Phonevilay, an official from the Lao Federation of Trade Unions, expressed his desire to bring back China's advanced technology and equipment to Laos after this visit, helping more sectors in Laos integrate AI and achieve upgrades.
Mateus Cabral Nicolau De Almeida, Managing Partner of Mateus Nicolau De Almeida Lda from Portugal, shared his observations on the development of Chinese and European alcoholic beverage consumer goods over the past 20 years. He believes that various Chinese consumer goods are undergoing technological and quality transformations, with "Made in China" evolving into "Quality China."
UNIDO ITPO Beijing hopes that through such events, cooperation and exchange among countries under the Belt and Road Initiative can be further strengthened, promoting the establishment of "international friendships" for high-quality Chinese technology companies, and drawing more countries' attention to "China's quality products."
